Sing Live is Britain’s largest independent singing organisation. It is best described as a singing community as the words choir or choral company just don’t give the perspective or the scale of our organisation.
Who
It is for people over 16 who just love to sing. There are no auditions to join and we welcome beginners and experienced singers from all backgrounds.
What
We produce large scale concerts with our massed voices. We perform all styles of music, from musical theatre to movies, rock, pop, classics and well known standards.
Where
We operate in many major cities in the UK, and currently operate eleven 'companies', drawing singers from the surrounding areas. Advertisements and recruitment literature is distributed throughout the area in advance of productions.
When
There are normally two concerts per year in any area or in some cases one concert in the local area and a second event on a major scale where all the Sing Live companies combine.
How
We charge a rehearsal and performance fee covering a three month rehearsal period with professional vocal coaches and accompanists. We rehearse to an acclaimed standard and come together with our professional orchestra for a first class performance in front of a large audience. We perform in up to 8 part harmony. There are opportunities for soloists from within the main chorus, however there are auditions for these.
Why
Our motto is ‘ordinary people doing extraordinary things in exciting places.’ We provide the opportunity for individuals to perform in show business events with live orchestras and the opportunity to rehearse with like minded individuals, as well as improving overall vocal ability. It is like a ‘night-class’ with an exciting end product.
Head Office and Musical Team
Our head office is based in Northallerton, North Yorkshire where our administration team operates. We have a musical team of around 40 professionals who operate out in the field.
Sing Live Social and Leisure
In addition to our concerts we offer other activities including workshops, weekend conferences, master classes and presentations. We also have Sing Live leisure and social activities including after show parties, dinner dances, party nights and theatre trips.
Sing Live Trips and Events
We offer weekend trips with performances in major venues in the UK and International trips with opportunities to perform abroad and on cruise liners.
Sing Live with the Stars
From time to time we sing with the stars of stage and screen.

We currently operate in Liverpool, Manchester, London, Bristol, Leeds, Sheffield, Nottingham, Warwick, Birmingham, Newcastle, Belfast and Orlando!
