John Morris – Founder of Sing Live UK and Sing Live USA

John's dream of bringing music and the joy of singing to ordinary people has created a live theatre experience for thousands of singers and audiences worldwide. Leading his team of top vocal coaches, musicians and his SING LIVE companies he has taken control of hundreds of large scale musical and theatrical events.

John's dream has been to create opportunities to allow ordinary people to do extraordinary things in exciting places. His company, Sing Live, has let thousands do just that.

Here are just some of the concerts and SING LIVE experiences John and his team have created:

In 2003, more than 300 singers from the Sing Live group of companies became the first international singing company to be invited by Walt Disney Entertainments to perform in the Candlelight Processional at the EPCOT Centre, and in Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Parade, staged and filmed by ABC Television at Magic Kingdom, Walt Disney World Resort, Florida at the invitation of Walt Disney Entertainments. The Parade was screened on national American TV on Christmas Day 2003 - an International first for John and Sing Live UK.

Sing live concerts at 150 large-scale events, in the USA, UK and Europe at major venues. These include the Royal Albert Hall, London, at major venues in big cities across the UK - in Birmingham, Belfast, Newcastle, Nottingham, Sheffield, Leeds, Liverpool and Manchester. He has created and conducted live huge scale concerts on several major cruise liners as they sailed the Mediterranean and Caribbean Seas and between New York and Montreal, Canada. He has also directed the company as they appeared at St Paul’s Memorial Chapel, Ground Zero New York on two occasions.

John has been a guest conductor of the massed voices from the Sing Live group of companies and The City of London Philharmonic in The Night of 1000 Voices series of concerts between 1999 and 2006, created by Hugh Wooldridge, and he made his West End conducting debut at The Theatre Royal Drury Lane in 2002.

In 2005 John produced and directed a tour for The Northern Concert of Remembrance for the Royal British Legion. In 2006, John created a huge concert at the Hallam FM Arena in Sheffield for the Royal British Legion and to celebrate the birthday of Her Majesty the Queen. John has also appeared in concerts with Glenn Close, Sir Roger Moore, Sir Cliff Richard,  Sir Tim Rice, Michael Ball, David Essex, Colm Wilkinson and Connie Kunkle to name a few. He was also musical director to Jane McDonald on tour in 2005 and SING LIVE  toured with Jane once again in 2006.

In America John founded Sing Live USA in Florida in 2006 and created, produced and conducted the company in their debut concert Sing the Musicals at the Bob Carr Centre for Performing Arts, Orlando in April 2007,  and Sing Broadway at the Chapin Theatre, Orange County Convention Centre in October 2007.

Sing Live have helped raise in excess of £500,000 for various local and national charities.
