Sing Live daytime starts today in York – so Steve is heading there this morning – a great way for everyone to start their weekend!

Following this - we actually have a weekend off! – no Sing Live events! It doesn’t happen again until Christmas day which falls on a Saturday this year!

So it’s been a busy week and a nice sunny one – let’s hope the sunshine continues over Saturday and Sunday!

I’m away on Monday – more university visiting – so I’m hoping I get my final pieces of info today for our Alnwick Castle trip so that I can get it out, otherwise it will be Tuesday! Win was helping me yesterday with her local knowledge of the area, which is always a bonus when you visit anywhere – so it’s fish and chips in Seahouses!!!

More fruit stewing for me this weekend! I love this time of year when everyone gives you apples and plums – storing up for winter!

Today it’s back to school, back to routine and back to normal – whatever normal is?! It’s always a mixed feeling – sad as its the end of the summer holidays in our world, relief that we can get some kind of structure and worry that there is just so much to do and fit in and how do we do it?!

Nearly finished my escape into the world of Harry Potter – the documents are almost ready – just the usual last few things to ‘cross and dot’ which of course can take days when you’re waiting for details!

Steve and I have meetings today so we’re looking forward to that, he’s coming into the office early this morning, so let’s hope the M62 traffic is kind to him! We also have Win in to help us – so another lively day ahead!

Off on the school run now – the school bus has been dispensed with so we can practice driving to and from school!!! I need to sit on my hands when I’m playing driving instructor and try not to show signs of alarm – which can be testing at times! However, I have many aching muscles today following my return to hockey practice - so sitting still won’t be a problem!

Can you believe it’s September?! Where has the summer gone? – although I think the summer is just starting – it’s been a beautiful week so far – and I’m pleased to report I have nearly finished all my painting! I had a very busy bank holiday weekend – just me and a paint brush!

So yesterday and today I’m working on the ‘Hogwarts Choir’ – it’s such a lot of fun to put together. We were depleted in numbers yesterday, just Sabine and Julie in the main office Teresa is off for the week and Amy was off Friday and Tuesday. However, an almost full house today with the addition of Hilary and Lynne to brighten our day even further!

We have the launch of the Beatles concert for South Yorkshire and East Midlands tonight and tomorrow night for Sing Live North East, so Sabine is very busy with her packs! We’ve had a blast with these concerts so far, so here’s looking forward to some more great music. Here’s a wonderful photo from Sing Live North West to remind us of the concert!
